Peter Thomson
My name is Peter Thompson. I was born is New Brunswick and spent most of my life in Bridgewater, NS. My passion for music started about 9 years ago, singing a few Scottish/Irish ballads A capella and it continued to grow 5 years ago when I began playing guitar. I have a diverse taste in music genres and value other performers as I am constantly evolving as a performing musician. Music and singing will always be a part of my life and I look forward to seeing where this journey leads.
Lucas Whitehead
Lucas is 17 years old and is a grade 12 student at Avon View High School. He has had a great love for Classic Country Music and Bluegrass since the very young age of two or three years old. Charley Pride was one of his all time favorites. Last summer was his 7th year singing at the Hank Snow Tribute in Liverpool. He competed in a contest in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and was awarded 2019 International Male Vocalist and 2019 International Male Entertainer of the Year in his age group 7-12. Lucas has also sung at many jamborees and fundraisers around Nova Scotia. He was in a group called Kids in Bluegrass for several years who sung in festivals in NS and PEI. He is currently in a band called County Connection as well as singing on his own.
Alicia Gidney
I live in Liverpool with my husband and two kids. I was a Hairstylist for 13 years before going back to school in my 30’s to become a CCA, I’ve always loved music and have been playing the piano and guitar since I was a kid. I play cover songs, a good variety of rock, folk and country. I try to have a little bit of everything in my set lists, so there’s always at least a song or two people can sing along to. While I love playing at local pubs and variety shows, the coolest gig I’ve ever had was playing the lead role of Sherrie in the Rock Of Ages musical in Liverpool. I love performing at new places and meeting new people!
Tim Clark
Tim Clark and the Clark Family group perform across Nova Scotia and beyond. They perform a variety of music including pop, folk and country and include original music too. They live in Wileville, NS. The group was started by Tim, who began as a solo act, and his adult children, Simon , Noah, and Sophia joined as they became old enough. They have released two albums in 2005, and 2010 and Tim is working on his latest release. The group is not always complete as the adult kids perform based on if they are available but even as a solo, duo or trio the audience enjoys the result that has been perfected over more than 20 years of performances.
Jon Rains
Jon Rains made his debut to the Canadian music scene in 2021, performing his authentic mix of Alt-County/Folk music at bars and restaurants local to Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. He has since performed most everywhere between Sydney and Montreal. Late in 2022, he released a debut demo titled “High Noon” followed by “Burn Forever” and “Golden Hour” in early 2023. His songs center around themes of nostalgia, heartbreak, love and loss, as well as using lyrical imagery to paint a picture of the idylls of growing up and living in the Canadian Maritimes. Set to release his professionally recorded debut full length album “Evergreen” in May 2024 as well as an Eastern Canadian tour in July 2024, Jon Rains has full intentions of going into 2024/2025 with all guns blazing.
Steve Dicks
Steve Dicks was born and raised on the south shore of Nova Scotia. Steve grew up running the back woods. Cut from pure Newfoundland stock on both sides, Steve has a deep admiration for his maritime culture and history. To him Music is , an expression , a history , a way to convene a message , tell a story , unite people together , show love & emotion when traditional ways fail. Music can also build personal strength , character , and can heal the mind and body. Steve with his duo partner, Danny Pink, have written a array of songs in many genres all splashed with a dose of saltwater and sprinkled with some sweat and pain of what life is like as middle age parents in 2024.
Tristan Weare
Tristan Weare, a local county boy from Caladonia NS. Tristan has been playing and performing music solo and with his dad for 10 years. Tristan regularly attends music community events and competitions around southwest Nova Scotia and he recently won the south shore’s exhibitions “ road to the stage “ singing contest in 2023.
Rodney Bruhm
Rodney has been playing music mostly for fun for about 20 years. Playing around campfires singing country, bluegrass, and rock and anything else that catches his musical ear. Rodney never saw himself as a musical performer as his passion for performing on stage was in the wrestling world in years past , but as life goes on he finds himself longing to hit the stage once again, this time with a guitar in hand and singing voice ready.
Amy Grant & Tim Whynot
Singer/songwriters, Tim Whynot & Amy Grant from Queens County, NS have been performing together as a brother/sister duo since the release of Amy’s debut album, This Time Around in 2016.
